Amenities In 2004, we completed a major renovation of our building, including all new furniture and artwork, and electric beds. Our spacious resident rooms are wired for telephone service and free basic cable TV service is provided. Our building has central air-conditioning, and each resident room has its own controls for your comfort. We have a beauty/barber shop for your convenience. And for your enjoyment, we have a large activities room, two lounges with 42-inch TVs, and a spacious great room with a piano, fireplace, and 42-inch TV.
We also have on-site laundry service, available at no extra charge.
Outside, we have an enclosed courtyard and a stately front porch that our residents enjoy in pleasant weather. Our well-maintained grounds and big shade trees out front offer you some lovely, private spaces where you can take a stroll or sit and talk while you enjoy some fresh air and nature.
There’s also a large carport to protect you from the elements as you come and go. And for resident safety and building security, we use the WanderGuard safety system, and our outside doors are secured.
Activities Staying active and involved is an important part of everyone’s health and well-being. Our seven-day-a-week activities calendar (evenings included) will provide you with a variety of recreational activities to help keep you mentally, physically, and spiritually active—no matter what your level of mobility is.
Our schedule of activities includes gentle exercise classes, games, music, crafts, discussion groups, religious services, pet therapy, and more—all designed to keep you vibrant, energetic, and on the go. And if you have a hobby you love, you can bring that along with you.
We also hold a monthly men’s breakfast and have an active Red Hat Society women’s group that meets every Monday. Every spring, our Red Hatters host a tea for women from the local senior center. Another popular monthly activity at Hospitality Homes is our “drive-in movie.” Residents “drive-in” in their wheelchairs and enjoy pizza, pop, and the movie of the day.
We also provide opportunities for you to stay involved in the community. If you’re able and interested, you can join your fellow residents on shopping expeditions, at the Xenia Old-Fashioned Days parade, picnicking at Shawnee Park, and on other local outings.
Certification/Accreditation Hospitality Homes is certified by both Medicare and Medicaid. We’re also accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO), a nationally recognized, independent organization that sets standards of excellence for nursing homes and other healthcare facilities.
In addition, we are proud to have signed the profession-wide Quality First pledge, which further reflects our commitment to quality, ethical care and resident safety.
